More Bones of the Earth...

This one isn't quite done...well, almost there...I wasn't thrilled with it until I did this burnt sienna wash on the left edge and I fell in love...I shot some details, these are the two that turned out...

I finally finished this one...maybe...there's a lot I like about it...... but there's a lot that I'm not completely satisfied with...let's just say, I'm not married to it...it just wasn't doing what I wanted it to do nearly every step of the way. (oh drat) I really love the area in the upper right corner, and some of the right edge...who knows...I might change it again...this canvas has so many layers on it already...why not a few more?

I received my new rolls of sumi paper from Blick for future use (YAY!)

The Price Check exhibition has opened in Beacon NY at Floor One Gallery...I didn't go because I'm still feeling punky from the cyst on my ovary and my back is just being a pain (I have to wonder if it's just the disc that's kicking up or if the cyst is the culprit, cuz those darn beggars can make you hurt in interesting ways.) The closing is on September 12th, maybe by then I'll be feeling better.

I treated myself at the art store yesterday and bought more canvases and paints. I think I'm ready for new colors...I have at least four more works in progress of this current color scheme that are...well, in progress...and I placed an order with Blick for more canvases, they had a sweet deal on packs of three so I got enough for me and some to share with my Fred...

So much to do...so much to think about...
