Just a small sketch...

Moon Rise Through the Trees, 1/20/2013, acrylic wash on BFK Rives, approx. 6 x 6 inches

It's bitty and blue, it started out purple and then I kept adding layers of blue...and I'm in the process of making a bigger one...

The Sketchbook Project 2013

I know I haven't been posting much here, (tho' I'm doing daily image posts at Tumblr)...but I've been busy, in some ways good busy (group exhibitions at Szozda Gallery photos to post soon!) and some ways not so good...such is life! It's a new year, and I submitted a new sketchbook for The Sketchbook Project 2013, which kept me busy for a bit of time during the holidays, and I had so much fun making this one, and it was so hard to part with her because she's so lovely!  I thought I'd share the scans I made right after I finished binding it back together...this is a sketchbook named Celestial Phases - Sun - Moon -Stars...acrylic washes, monotype mark making, rice paper...and lots of blue!

Now that this project is done, I've got a few canvases lined up for more new work...today should be a productive day now that I've beaten back my cold to a more tolerable stuffiness ('tis the season for such pesky viruses!)
